All applicants to TCCA must exhibit a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, have a sense of God’s call on their lives, and be affirmed by their church for Christian ministry.

Those wishing to apply for the B.Th. or Dip.Th. Programme should send a photocopy of their secondary school transcripts to the Registrar and request an application form. Copies of certificates or transcripts from any other colleges or institutions should also be included. Application and medical forms will then be sent to applicants who meet the academic entry requirements.

Upon receiving these forms the applicant must:

• Complete the application form fully, and return it to the Registrar together with a recent photograph and the non-refundable application fee.

• Arrange for various people who know him or her well to act as referees, and include their names and addresses on the application form; the Registrar will send the referees forms to be completed and returned directly to the College. Ensure that your prospective referees agree before forwarding their names to TCCA.

• Have a medical examination so that the medical form can be completed by a qualified medical examiner and returned to the Registrar.

When the Registrar has received all these forms and the application fee, then the Admissions Committee will meet to discuss the application. Prospective students (together with their spouses, if married) will then be invited to come to the College for an interview with the Admissions Committee, after which one of the following decisions will be made:

• Full acceptance is granted to those applicants who have completed the application process and have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Admissions Committee that they are both capable of and suitable for studies at TCCA and have documented evidence of financial support.

• Provisional acceptance is granted in cases where the Admissions Committee is generally satisfied with the applicant, but where one or two matters (e.g., the demonstration of financial support) needs attention before the commencement of studies.

• Recommendation to postpone application for one year is given when the Admissions Committee believes that the applicant would gain significantly more from studies at the College if he or she delayed one more year before beginning.

• Non-acceptance is for those applicants who have not satisfied the Admissions Committee that they are either capable of, or suitable for, studies at TCCA.

In the case of acceptance, the applicant will then be informed as to the availability of accommodation on the campus.

Students from outside Zambia must also apply for a study permit from the Zambian Immigration Department before coming to Zambia. Study permits are also required for spouses of foreign students, even though they may not be enrolled in an academic programme.

The due date for application forms from within Zambia is 1st September of the year prior to commencement. For applicants from outside Zambia the due date is 1st August. Priority will be given to applications received by these dates. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to begin the application process early in the year.

For those who wish to apply on line, please make enquiry to the Registrar at registrar@tccafrica.org, with the attachment of the relevant academic documents.
